Committee description: This is a space to strengthen the ecosystem and position of Native artists, organizations, and affiliations with our collective indigenous thought and support for one another. We welcome those who work towards this goal.

Committee goals: 

Highlight Native Artists, Organizations, and Affiliations: Create a space to recognize and uplift Native artists and organizations, fostering connections within the community.

Promote Cultural Health and Harvesting Programs: Encourage engagement with programs that tie into cultural health, traditional harvesting, and sustainable practices.

Funding Opportunities: Share information about funding and grants that support Native arts, culture, and community initiatives.

Community Events and Programming: Serve as a hub for sharing events that celebrate and support Native culture, whether through community gatherings, artist showcases, or educational programs.

Supportive Tribal Representation: Ensure that all Native community members within the Metro area feel supported, included, and represented. 

Celebrate and Preserve Language and Art: Encourage the integration and preservation of Native languages and art forms, fostering a sense of cultural pride and continuity.

Embrace Cultural Ways: Respect and promote traditional cultural education, supporting its continuity and adaptation in modern contexts. Provide resources and education that encourage cultural knowledge, ensuring they thrive for future generations.

Commitment to Adaptive Ways: Recognize that cultural work is a journey; remain open to adaptive ways and evolving needs.

Collaboration Across Subcommittees: Actively seek partnerships and collaboration with other subcommittees to strengthen and unify efforts across diverse areas. Build networks among community members, artists, and organizations, encouraging collaboration and resource-sharing.
